Health Guarantee - Spay /Neuter Contract
Buyer's Responsibilities:
Provide puppy with routine preventive care. In order to provide this health guarantee, we do require that you abide by (and be able to prove) a few requirements, should we ever need to honor this guarantee.
The purchaser must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within four business days of the arrival. If the veterinarian discovers the puppy to be unsound, it can be returned for another puppy of equal value or your money back. This is provided that the puppy be returned within a four day period and be accompanied with a letter from the examining veterinarian stating in what respect the puppy is unsound. Lyon's Puppy Pride will not be liable for any expenses, including but not limited to, veterinary bills, or shipping expenses. Guarantee will be VOID if the buyer fails to have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within the allotted time frame.
Routine Veterinary Exams / Vaccinations
Yearly vet visits/vaccines are required for this guarantee to be honored and records must be shown for proof. A necropsy must be done on any deceased dog/puppy of said maintenance must be furnished upon request. This guarantee is non-transferable.
*Follow veterinarian guidelines for vaccinations and de-worming. It is your responsibility to make sure the puppy is vaccinated at the appropriate ages. If your puppy is exposed to parvo and/or distemper before the full vaccines series is completed, he/she can be susceptible to these viruses. Lyon's Puppy Pride is not responsible for the health of this puppy after 72 hours. This is due to the possibility that the dog may become infected by a communicable disease after its delivery to the new owner. Lyon's Puppy Pride will not be responsible for a puppy's health if he/she is re-vaccinated before 9 weeks of age.
*Failure to keep your new puppy on the same type of food could result in diarrhea, loss of appetite, hypoglycemic attacks (low blood sugar) or a combination of these symptoms.
*Teacup and Tiny Toy size puppies need to eat several times each day and a small amount (size of a dime or less) of Nutra-Stat should be given once or twice per day. Failure to have Nutra-Stat or Nutra-Cal on hand could also result in diarrhea, loss of appetite, hypoglycemic attacks (low blood sugar) or a combination of these symptoms.
*Annual physical examinations by a licensed veterinarian.
*The buyer has researched and is knowledgeable of the non-life threatening problems that a Schnauzer and Schnoodle may have and agrees that these are not covered under this health guarantee. Minor, breed related, treatable, or correctable conditions such as Patellar Luxation, or a puppy murmur, or any condition that may go away or is considered to be a condition which a puppy likely outgrow are not covered. Under no circumstances will Lyon's Puppy Pride be responsible for any Veterinarian bills acquired by the purchaser for this puppy.
With a new puppy comes extra responsibilities. Failure to follow these guidelines could put your puppy in serious danger.
Two Year Health Guarantee Against Genetic Defects:
To the best of my knowledge, I am selling a healthy puppy: it will be deemed healthy by a Licensed Veterinarian before it leaves our home.
This puppy is guaranteed until two years of age against fatal congenital disease which adversely affects the health of the puppy. This includes kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, and liver problems of a severe life-threatening nature. If the dog dies within two years, the buyer will pay to have it autopsied by a licensed vet to ascertain reason. If reason is congenital, seller will replace the puppy. All veterinarian findings must be submitted and signed by a licensed veterinarian and be sent on the veterinarian's letterhead and backed up with lab work or x-rays as to the nature of the problem. A second opinion may be requested.
*Seller will not be responsible for any medical bills or medical expenses. Buyer is aware that owning a puppy means trips to the veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for all Vet bills.
As of the delivery, the puppy has received proper vaccinations and worming. A DETAILED RECORD OF YOUR PUPPY'S HEALTH & VACCINATIONS IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PUPPY PACK. PLEASE TAKE THIS WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST VISIT TO YOUR VET TO MAKE SURE YOUR VET DOES NOT GIVE A VACCINATION THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN! Vaccination must be no less than three weeks apart and no more than four weeks apart for a series of three. If you allow your veterinarian to do any of these vaccinations too early, your guarantee is void. Proof of said maintenance must be furnished upon request of breeder.
This guarantee does not cover the treatment of common ailments such as yeast infection, kennel cough, or parasites such as mites, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms, giardia, or coccidiosis, which are common to growing puppies and can be contracted from soil, pet stores, and many other places. Your puppy has been wormed frequently from two weeks of age until your possession and even though our puppies are tested and dewormed at an early age, it is possible (though unlikely) that they may still have parasites at the time of sale. It is your responsibility to continue to worm your puppy and check for parasites, including Heartworm. Lyon's Puppy Pride will not be responsible for adverse reactions to Heartworm Preventatives.
No guarantee is given for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). This condition is not hereditary and is very preventable.
There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors, for example: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demode tic mange, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by this guarantee. Physical problems that are or could be the result of injury, abuse. neglect, or if the buyer fails to complete vaccinations and puppy checks by a qualified Vet, and not covered under this guarantee.
Although our puppies are bred to AKC standard, and most have excellent conformation, we can make NO guarantees of "Show Quality". Our main concern and objective are to raise beautiful, healthy companions. We also cannot guarantee adult size, color or temperament. While we do our best to give an accurate adult weight, there is absolutely NO GUARANTEE that the puppy will be the estimated size, or color. Coats and color may change. There is no guarantee or warranty that the Buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy regardless of show or breeding potentials. Retained testicles, umbilical hernias, and bad bites as the dog matures, are not covered in this guarantee.
*This guarantee applies to the original puppy only and is nontransferable to a second party. This contract supersedes and all previous agreements. This contract is null and void if the terms and conditions are not fulfilled.
*Buyer agrees that they will NEVER put the puppy/dog in a shelter.
*Buyer agrees to NEVER debark this puppy/dog. Debarking a puppy/dog is inhumane. If you don’t want a dog that barks, you shouldn’t get a dog. All dogs bark!
*By visiting Lyon's Puppy Pride, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to Covid-19
SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT: Buyer agrees Puppy is being adopted as a family pet and will never be used for breeding. Seller requires all puppies to be spayed/neutered by seven (7) months of age, at Buyer's expense. Seller agrees Puppy will not be used for breeding and will provide Seller with written proof of said spay/neuter within seven (7) business days after the procedure is performed. Buyer understands this procedure must be performed by a Licensed Veterinarian and documentation must reflect the same. Buyer understands failure to provide proof of sterilization once the Puppy reaches seven (7) months of age, will result in nullification of this contract and void all contents thereof. Buyer further understands, any attempt on the part of the Buyer to use the Puppy in a breeding program will result in legal action for breach of contract. Should such actions take place, any/all legal fees associated with this matter will become the responsibility of the Buyer to include any/all Seller attorney fees. Any such litigations shall occur in the
State of North Carolina and any/all expenses related to travel will also be at the Buyer's expense. If the BUYER fails to comply with the Non-Breeding Agreement and a litter is produced by the PUPPY/DOG, the BUYER understands that the SELLER will have the intent to pursue suit against the BUYER for the monetary value of each and every puppy produced. The monetary value for each puppy will be equal to the purchase price of the PUPPY/DOG. Purchase Price: _________. The Non-Breeding Agreement is a contract used to control the SELLER’s bloodlines. The Agreement in no way says that the PUPPY/DOG is not of Breeding or Show quality, it is just a precautionary measure the SELLER takes to protect the puppy/dog and the bloodlines.
*When we receive the certificate by mail, we will then send your puppy’s AKC or CKC papers to you via mail.
BREEDER CLAUSE: If for any reason, you should decide to re-sell, trade, lease or in any other manner, transfer ownership and/or possession of this puppy, you agree that this guarantee is null and void and that the puppy (dog) will only be sold, traded, leased and/or transferred to a “pet home” and that you will guarantee that the puppy (dog) will be spayed/neutered, prior to being sold/traded/leased/transferred.
